Geoff Johns Confirms Mark Strong as Sinestro

The fine fellows at ComicBookMovie.com are reporting tweets from Geoff Johns (returning from a visit to New Orleans) mentioning his enthusiasm for the film's progress, his approval of Ryan Reynolds as Hal and Mark Strong as Sinestro. Johns' tweets are as follows:
Back from an amazing trip to Green Lantern town a.k.a. New Orleans!! Ryan IS Hal. And Mark Strong is going to be a brilliant Sinestro.

Considering Johns was recently appointed DC Entertainment's new Chief Creative Officer, it's no surprise that he would be in a position to know what's going on with the Green Lantern film. Fans had known previously that Strong was in negotiations with the studio to play the role of Sinestro in the live-action adaptation, but this appears to be the first sign of a sealed-deal for Strong.
The casting of Mark Strong would be another sign that Warner Brothers is taking the adaptation very seriously and enlisting A-List talent including Peter Sarsgaard and Tim Robbins. Not to mention his resounding approval of Ryan Reynold as the title character.
Filming is scheduled to start early-mid March in New Orleans.
