Michael Goldenberg Hired To Write Green Lantern 2

Variety is reporting that Michael Goldenberg has been hired by Warner Brothers to write the screenplay for Green Lantern 2. This is an incredibly bold move from the studio, considering the first movie is practically a year away from release. It appears that Warner Brothers is incredibly confident in their new summer tent-pole franchise.

Michael was hired previously to do rewrites and polish the original Green Lantern script by Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim. He also has previous connections at Warner Brothers, having penned the adaptation of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The original writers of Green Lantern have already plotted out the Sequel, all that's left is for Goldenberg to churn out a few drafts.
