First Green Lantern Trailer Released!

 

Today Warner Brothers has unveiled the first Green Lantern trailer in all of it's glory. All the fan favorites are present, Abin Sur, Sinestro, Kilowog, Tomar Re, Tom Kalmaku, Carol Ferris and of course, the man himself, Hal Jordan.

An audio file of the Green Lantern teaser footage from Comic Con has been posted online, the file is fairly low quality and covered with fans screaming, but most of the audio is there. FirstShowing.net caught up with actor Mark Strong at Comic Con to get his thoughts on the Green Lantern film, which is currently in the end of it's primary shoot, and his thoughts on the character of Thaal Sinestro, who he will portray in the film.

Green Lantern Character Teaser Posters Released

 

Warner Brothers has released digital versions of the Green Lantern teaser posters that they handed out like hotcakes at Comic Con this past weekend. The teaser posters feature the four main characters of Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Mark Strong as Thaal Sinestro and Peter Sarsgaard as Dr. Hector Hammond.

Movie Title, Ryan Comic Cover and Strong as Sinestro!

 

DC Entertainment has released the official logo on "the Source" blog, this logo is a similar wordmark to the one appearing in the merchandising ad seen earlier, though the effects on the text have been changed. The logo is very appropriate for Green Lantern and very bold, this should suit the movie very well.

Geoff Johns Praises Mark Strong's Sinestro

 

Green Lantern scribe and DC Entertainment's new Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns made a post on DC's "The Source" blog Yesterday (June 15th). Johns was there to talk about mostly non-comic book news, namely an attempt at making a live-action Blue Beetle TV Show, he showed pictures from an effects test of the scarab transforming into the suit, and promised that the actual test footage would be seen at this year's San Diego ComiCon.

Mark Strong talks to New York Magazine about Sinestro

 

Mark Strong recently talked to New York Magazine about his roles in Robin Hood and Green Lantern. He reveals that he takes it as a compliment that people enjoy seeing him as a villain and that one of his motivations for acting is being able to disguise himself, one of the few actors who doesn't mind the mild discomfort for the added effect of the makeup and latex appliances.
